Intersexion

More than 250 babies are born in the world every minute, and the first question we ask is it a boy or a girl? What if it's neither? What if it's intersex? Intersex refers to a person whose body is not the standard male or the standard female type. The term encompasses over 30 different conditions that all originate prenatally during a fetus' sexual development. Intersex may refer to someone having genitals that are in between male and female, or it might be that somebody looks male on the outside, but on the inside is mostly female.
