Martinu's Fifth Symphony

The Czech Philharmonic performs a complete cycle of Bohuslav Martinu's six symphonies; Martinu, who had once been a violinist in the Czech Philharmonic, dedicated his Fifth Symphony to the orchestra, which gave the 1947 premiere.
