The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles became humanoid due to a strange pink chemical: the mutagen. Splinter, a rat and master in martial arts, welcomes them to the sewers of New York City and teaches them Ninjutsu, the art of the ninjas, in order to defend the neighbourhood.
